311 transistor tatoo code#
On the other hand, and that being the hand which is unseen by those in ignorance, is the 6 6 6 being the code whereby our planet is connected, or perhaps at the least has much to do with it. I thought it was a great observation not knowing any better, and conceeded thereto for a time, I remember telling my Marine buddies that we are connected to the unknown, but you see, that was done in ignorance.

On the one hand, the energy unlocked by the element of Carbon is implied somewhat, and for a long time (before my conversion towards Christ) I reckoned it to be his expression of the human race being connected with the universe through this element (for I was blinded by science at the time). Martinez towards the last few verses of the tune sings a DOUBLE meaning. BUT some of the lyrics are, in lack of more scientific terms, ANTI-CHRISTIAN. I do not know who wrote every song, or edited what was proposed at the first, or what have you, whether the producer made the call, or a fan's request, etc. Please do not mistake me here, the melody, the musical unity, is phenomenal. Every album that I once enjoyed is now become intolerable on account of the lyrics. something has been discouraging me from doing so. On occasion I revisit Old 311 whenever I want to hear thick guitar sounds. Now, I am aware, as we all are, P-Nut is one of the five composers/performers which make up the band. What I question is P-Nut's disclosure upon his tatoos, and his confession upon a certain individual who "inspired him". These guys (311) have some talent which far exceeds other's in ability, no doubt, but that is not what I am bringing into question. I can perceive that a record deal sets forth its terms of contract, and that many guys are happy to "hit it big". Whether or not any of them, if they regard it something material, conceed to the album art or to the lyrics is beyond me. I do not know any of these guys personally, only what they have recorded of themselves on their studio albums and other media which I happened to come by. I still find his older tones some of the thickest out there, nonetheless, the author of the blog brings up a good point. When Tim had fully switched over to Diamond amps, I broke apart from persuing the band's new releases, because the sounds were different than previous, and I couldn't dig them the way I had before.

These especially were during the days of Mesa and VHT. I even got to see them live a few times, and yes, I was as close to Tim's position on stage as I possibly could get with my face absorbing the high SPL from the channel speakers (and oh how I loved those palm mutes!). When I was a Marine for eight years of honorable service, I had their whole repetior in my car (when CD player's were the thing) by the time Don't Tread on Me was released. I instantly fell in love with Tim's guitar sounds and would litterally listen hours on end with my phones at high volumes "rocking out". How can I chime in through all of this? I listened to 311 on and off since I was in middle school, my first CD was Transistor.
